ORDER: This is one of five cases that was opened after multiple complaints were severed from Plaintiff's initial submission in Lowe v. Chicago Police Department, No. 25 C 9355 (N.D. Ill.). For the reasons set forth in the Statement section of this order, Plaintiff's motion for leave to file in forma pauperis [5] is denied without prejudice. Given the procedure by which this case reached this Court, Plaintiff will be allowed an opportunity to choose whether to proceed further. If Plaintiff wants to proceed with this lawsuit, she must either (1) submit a renewed application using the Court's form or (2) pay the full statutory filing fee of $405.00. Alternatively, Plaintiff may inform the Court in writing that she does not want to pursue this case. If she chooses not to proceed further, the Court will administratively close the case, and she will not be assessed a filing fee. Failure to comply with this order by April 4, 2026 will result in summary dismissal of this case. Plaintiff's pending motion for attorney representation [6] is denied as premature. See Pickett v. Chicago Transit Auth., 930 F.3d 869, 871 (7th Cir. 2019) (observing that a motion for attorney representation may be filed "so early in the case that it [i]s impossible to tell whether [the plaintiff] could represent himself adequately"). Plaintiff may renew her motion at a later date after she has resolved her fee status. The Court defers consideration of Plaintiff's complaint pending compliance with this order. Plaintiff is advised that she has a continuing obligation to keep the Court apprised of her current address, and failure to do so will result in dismissal of this action for failure to comply with a court order and for want of prosecution. The Clerk of Court is directed to send Plaintiff a copy of the governing complaint [2] and a blank application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis, along with a copy of this order. Signed by the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly on 3/6/2026: Mailed notice (qrtr,)
